Thanks for popping by! Here’s a little bit about me and how A Little Bit Naughty came to be — where beautiful cakes meet a little bit of fun. 🍰
I use quality ingredients, sourced locally where possible, and always use the freshest eggs, mostly those laid by my own happy hens and very spoilt ducks! Yes, the eggs in the photo were all laid by my flock!
If you'd like to try some of my flavours, I make taster boxes several times during the year. Dates will be available under the 'Events' section of my website or contact me and I can advise you when the next ones will be available.
Ok, I know it sounds a bit salacious but let me explain why I named my company 'A little bit Naughty'. I have cherished memories when I was little, of my lovely Dad coming home from work at the weekend with a big brown paper bag full of chocolate treats. He had a very sweet tooth and would say, "it's ok to be a little bit naughty every now and then" as he emptied the contents on to the counter.
I sadly lost him in 2005 and when I launched my company in 2013, I couldn't think of a better name to honour his memory and make delicious cakes he'd have loved. So now you can be a little bit naughty too!
My love of baking began more than 20 years ago when I worked for a big publishing company in London, and used to organise bake sales to raise money for local good causes. Creating beautiful cakes became such a passion that after leaving my IT job behind in 2019, I decided to turn my hobby business into a full-time career and built a professional bakery at home.
At the beginning of 2023 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and although it was a tough year, my love of baking helped to keep me going through my chemo. Thankfully, I had the all clear in January of 2024 and I am now back to full health, loving life and of course even more cake making!
